Busy Bee.

In all the busyness, and small town activity here - I wanted to share the things I love in Texas.  I love lots of things about it and people for that matter, but these two are dear to me.

And Jane can let me watch him any day - we'll have a photoshoot and sing along session.

Heart Explosion

Life got busy. What can I say?
I went to Texas. Made some big decisions. Grew with excitement and expectation for what He is doing with me and others and fell more in love with a best friend and her little boy, my godson.

We made promises to God on his behalf and then I doted on him for as long as I could, because as you will see, he is precious and helps me be a bit softer.

Easter.

5 AM came early this morning in Houston.  We went to the Vigil to celebrate the resurrection and witness the baptism of this cute baby.  All the new life in him is such a blessing.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him." Then Peter and the other disciple set out and went toward the tomb. The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down to look in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen wrappings lying there, and the cloth that had been on Jesus' head, not lying with the linen wrappings but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.

Real Life Love.

I know.
You've heard I have a Godson.
Sorry, but it comes up frequently for me.

I know.
You've heard I'm obsessed with documenting the real moments of life.
Sorry, but it is just too beautiful to pass up.

I know.
You've heard I love books, red wine, and Jesus.
Sorry, but they are all too yummy to inhale to not talk about often.

These images. Agh. They are all of this goodness in one.

My Godson and his....well...Grandma? But that doesn't feel right. Mawmaw? No. She's not from Giles. Mimi? She's not pretentious so no. Abuela? She's not Lindsey's Madre in Law, so no. I have no clue what she's going by - but she's the bomb.
So, my godson, Jane's son, and thebomb.

And - Sarah Cramer, a photographer I really admire and is amazing (oh to have her be a mentor and get in her brain) took some really great photos of the babe here.

J+J=F

I have a really humongous honor.
So intense. So big. So beautiful. I've avoided putting it on the blog - because I don't really know how to write a blog post about something that is so new, special, and meaningful.
Godsons.
I've told you about my Godmother Dearest - how she is the 8th wonder of the world, and #1 on my speedial. Well Janie is on the speedial too.
She went and had a baby.
And now, I get to be a part of his amazing life - as his Godmother.  It is so exciting, I could burst.
I get to love on him, pray for him, and watch him grow all while being tightly knit to one of my besties.
Really. Could it get any better?

I can't wait to go visit them in Texas for his baptism - where we will make some big promises before God - and then eat deviled eggs.
Really. Could it get any better?
Also while I'm in Texas, I'm going to visit Austin....possibly a new location for Merry Mary.

But that's for other days and stressing.

For now, seriously. Look at this baby and momma.

Really. Could it Get any Better?

Oh and follow Janie at her blog. It is nice. and Refreshing.
